Aging Service Access Points for the South Shore
In Massachusetts, the Executive Office of Elder Affairs (EOEA) is responsible for the planning and implementation of service programs for the elderly. All services that are funded by the state flow through one of 27 non-profit regional agencies called Aging Service Access Points (ASAPs).
The ASAPs determine if you or your elderly relative are qualified to receive subsidized services based on age, annual income and assets. If eligible, a case manager will be assigned to determine the type and level of services the senior is eligible to receive. ASAPs offer subsidized homemaking services or personal care along with a variety of other services including, Meals on Wheels, bill-paying, tax preparation and shopping.
